Prof. K.K. Chakraborti (Retired Professor of Philosophy, Davis and Elkins College, West Virginia, USA)
Prof. K. K. Chakraborty is a retired professor of Philosophy and a distinguished scholar, Davis and Elkins College in USA. He is the author of six books including “Definition and Induction,” “Classical Indian Philosophy of Mind” and “Classical Indian Philosophy of Induction.” He has also authored more than hundred research papers on topics of epistemology, metaphysics, logic and philosophy of language. He has previously taught at Calcutta University, University of California at Berkeley and the University of Maine. He has also been a fellow of the Australian National University, University of Pittsburgh and the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton.
Prof. B. H. Boruah (Professor of Philosophy, HSS, IIT Delhi)
Prof. Bijoy Hati Boruah is a Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of IIT Delhi. After his PhD in Philosophy in 1984 from the University of Guelph, Canada, he taught around 22 years in the Department of HSS, IIT Kanpur before moving to IIT Delhi in 2008. In the journey of his academic excellence, Prof. Boruah has also been a Senior Fulbright Fellow in the Department of Philosophy of the University of Texas at Austin, USA during 2000-01. His research interest includes Philosophy of Literature, Philosophy of Religion, Metaphysics and Epistemology and Philosophy of Cognitive Science. He has published more than 100 research papers in the journals of international repute. His doctoral research was published with the title “Fiction and Emotion: A Study in Aesthetics and the Philosophy of Mind” in 1988 simultaneously by the Clarendon Press, Oxford and Oxford University Press, New Delhi. Presently, Prof. Boruah is visiting SMVDU as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Philosophy & Culture.
Prof. P. Jetli (Former Professor, Delhi University)
Professor Jetli obtained his M.A and Ph.D. from Indiana University, USA in 1982 and 1987 accordingly. His research interest deals with wide range of philosophical issues about Greek Philosophy, Logic, Philosophy of Science and Western Epistemology etc. He has Co-authored a book Introduction to Logic. He has published several international and national research papers. Prof. Jetli has been associated as a teaching faculty in various capacities with many Indian and foreign Universities and Institutions.
