06062023 researchDr. Shafaq Rasool, Faculty, School of Biotechnology, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), presented a paper titled “Bioprospecting Endophytic Microbes for Bioactive Molecules to Tackle the Challenge of Antibiotic Resistance” in 2nd International Conference on Advancements in Science, Management& Engineering (ICSME) 2023 held on 24th & 25th June 2023 at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. The paper presented in an online mode on Endophytic Microbes explained how these bacteria can serve a role in natural product drug discovery like novel anti-infectives to combat the coming pandemic of antimicrobial resistance. The findings discussed in the presentation were highly appreciated by the experts who awarded her the best presenter award. Dr. Rasool thanked the conference organisers for appreciating the efforts done by the research group at SMVDU on Endophytic Microbes and all the team members for contributing to this research area.
