Mr. Ishfaq Hamid, a Research Scholar at the School of Economics at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), has successfully qualified for the award of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics. His research topic was “Impact of Corruption, Democracy and Political Stability on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Inflows in SAARC Countries,” which he completed under the supervision of Dr. Pabitra Kumar Jena, Assistant Professor at the School of Economics, SMVDU.The candidate received the Centrally Sponsored ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship, and he has published research papers in SCI/SCIE/SSCI and ABDC-ranked journals. He has presented his research at various international and national conferences and has worked on different research projects sponsored by ICSSR and NITI Aayog. Currently, he is working at MICA-Ahmedabad.The researcher expressed his gratitude to the School of Economics at SMVD University and ICSSR for their support and facilities that helped him carry out his research work.
