Dr. Saurabh, Assistant Professor, School of Business, SMVD University, Katra presented his paper in the 3rd International Conference on Management and Sustainability in Asia (COMSA), under International Education for Sustainable Development Alliance (INTESDA) was held in Fukuoka, Japan (one of Asia’s greenest and most sustainable cities) on March 26 and March 27, 2017. The International Education for Sustainable Development Alliance (INTESDA), is a diverse community of educators, academics and non-profit professionals founded in 2015, in part, to support the Sustainable Development Global Goals set by the United Nations. It is committed to addressing sustainable development issues through capacity building, advocacy, networking and sharing knowledge. COMSA 2017 in a series of conferences was an international conference aimed at providing a platform for academics, researchers and students to gather in a peaceful to engage learn and share ideas ranging from corporate social responsibility and the triple bottom line to sustainable business practices, economic development and sustainable livelihoods in developing nations. COMSA 2017 was an international, peer-reviewed conference, with reviewers from various countries.
There were total twenty eight presentations (Six virtual, two poster and 20 oral) were made from the scholars and researchers of 12 different countries namely Japan, India, Taiwan, USA, Thailand, Pakistan, Indonesia, Spain, Tanzania, China, and South Korea, under seven sessions. Dr. Saurabh presented his paper on the topic “An EVA® Discourse for Sustained Advantage: Case of Select Indian Firms”. The paper explores the sustenance of select companies in India with a premise that their economic value added has helped them to maintain their competitive advantage. The paper uses content analysis along with case based method to reach to the conclusions. The paper was presented with the support of professional development assistance scheme of SMVDU. Dr. Saurabh thanked the University authorities and management for support through encouraging scheme for learning and sharing knowledge.
