Continuing with his research excellence journey, Dr. Vineet Veer Tyagi of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), has been featured second time in the research database of Elsevier and Stanford University that ranks 2 per cent of scientists worldwide based on publications, H-index, and citations in Scopus database.

He is heading the School of Energy Management, SMVDU, Katra, the only department in JKUT which offers M. Tech (Energy System) and Ph. D. programs in the field of energy technologies. Dr. Tyagi has been actively working in the research area of Solar Thermal Energy Storage, Phase Change Materials and its Applications, PV/Thermal System and Solar Desalination System. He has published more than 130-SCI/Scopus articles, 15 international book chapters and edited two international books.

He has also been named amongst the most cited researcher in the field of energy in the past year with an overall citation of 9900 in Scopus. In the session 2020-21, he has published more than 30 international and national level articles with high impact factor journals. Padma Shri Prof. (Dr.) R. K. Sinha, Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU, has conveyed his best wishes and congratulated the faculty for his achievement at the global level.

I have completed my Ph. D. in Energy Management from Department of Energy Management under the guidance of Dr. S. K. Tyagi and Dr. P. C. Pant. Currently serving as Research Fellow at UM Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (UMPEDAC), University of Malaya, Malaysia. I am thankful to the University for providing the infrastructure for the research and world class faculty for guidance. Department of Energy Management is rich in terms of experienced faculty members who not only guide during the course as well as after. This is kind of an unique Masters and Ph. D. program run by University in J&K state in Energy Management which includes the study of renewable energy. I am proud to be doctorate from SMVD University

I have completed my Ph.D. in Energy Management from Department of Energy Management under the guidance of Dr. Sanjeev Anand and Dr. S. K. Tyagi. The title of his doctorate thesis is Simulation and Performance evaluation of Renewable Energy Based Refrigeration Systems: Exergy and Exergoeconomic Approach. Department of Energy Management has experienced faculty members who can guide in various areas of research in Energy. This being the only university offering Masters and Ph. D. program ersity in J&K state in Energy Management which includes the study of renewable energy. I am proud to be doctorate from SMVD University.

Having completed my post-graduation in Energy Management from School of Energy Management, I can say with pride that I have become a better person both academically and intellectually. The relationship between faculties and student is very cordial, which gave me an opportunity to excel in my area of interest. Never can a student find himself lost in a concept and professors not being able to rescue him. The three years spent here were splendid and has helped me to grow better professionally & personally. Faculties especially Dr. SanjevAnand and Dr. V.V Tyagi have plethora of knowledge and never shied away from answering students queries regarding subjects and also regarding research work. Their able guidance helped me to complete my research work on time and also publish the same in reputed journals of our field.
