Adding an illustrious feather to its crown, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), a highly technical and fully residential University in UT, (J&K) has been ranked at 80th position in Sustainable Development Goals: Affordable and Clean Energy category (SDG-7) of “Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021”.
Times Rankings include more than 1,500 universities across 93 countries and regions, making them the largest and most diverse university rankings to date, and the list for Sustainable Development Goals: Affordable and Clean Energy category (SDG-7) published by the Times Higher Education includes 560 Institutions from 77 Countries.
At national level, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University stands at 3rd position, and is the only University/Institution from UT of Jammu and Kashmir that got ranked in the said parameter in these recent Impact Rankings.
Moreover, SMVDU has been ranked among the top 401-600 Institutions of the World out of 776 Institutions which participated under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG-5) Category: Gender Equality of Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021.

The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess Universities against the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
