Ms. Garima Chopra successfully defended her doctoral research, titled "Development of Algorithm to Overcome Security Threats in 5G Wireless Communication for Ultra-Dense Network" while working on “Security issues of Ultra-dense network for high-speed users”, in a Ph.D. External Viva, conducted on 21st May 2020, following the latest guidelines set by the UGC.
She has published 08 Sci-indexed journals including IEEE transactions. The candidate was working under the supervision of Prof. Sanjeev Jain &Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jha Senior Faculty, School of Electronics and Communication Engineering (SoECE), Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra.
Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU, Prof. RK Sinha, chaired the Committee and congratulated the scholar, and the supervisor(s). The researcher told that this research would help to achieve the objective of global security by properly protecting the information and this work can be potentially used for military and surveillance purposes. The other members of Committee were: Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. E. Muthuswamy; Head, SoECE, Dr. K R Jha; Head, Mathematics Dr. Uday P. Singh; Heads of various other Schools of the University, and other faculty members and research Scholars.
The external examiner attended the Viva through Online Mode. The success of this Viva is also due to the fact that SMVDU is equipped with the latest IT related and lab infrastructure with state-of-art internet (wi-fi) connectivity spread across its massive campus in the lap of Trikuta hills.
