Shubham Mahajan, Researcher, School of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), has been declared qualified for the award of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The candidate has worked on the topic, titled “Reduced Complexity Feature Selection Method for Multi-Level Thresholding in Image Segmentation” under the supervision of Dr. Amit Kant Pandit, Associate Professor, School of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SMVDU. He has published research works in SCI and Scopus indexed journals and presented papers at various international and national conferences. He received the IEEE Region-10 Travel Grant Award-2019, 2nd Runner up Prize in IEEE RAS HACKATHON-2019 (Bangladesh) and IEEE Student Early Researcher Conference Fund (SERCF-2020), Emerging Scientist Award-2021, IEEE Signal Processing Society Professional Development Grant-2021.
