A three day Faculty Development Program (FDP) sponsored by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for student induction on “Universal Human Values (UHV)” was inaugurated at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, J&K.
During the inaugural session, Prof. M. Eswaramoorthy, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, delivered the welcome address, and provided information about the program. Mr. Jitender Naurla, Regional Coordinator and Resource Person of the workshop, emphasised on the need of the workshop for faculties. Prof. R K Jha, Dean, Research and Development, shared his views on the importance of human values in the present scenario. Prof. Sumeet Gupta, Dean, Academic Affairs, also shared his views on the human values and delivered the vote of thanks to all the guests and participants.
Dr Arjun Tygai, Dr. Kamaldeep, Prof. Rajiv Kumar and Dr. Ragul Sharma coordinated the programme. A total of 60 faculty members from different universities and various colleges of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, J&K and Orissa took part in the FDP.
