The Quality Circle Forum of India, Delhi Chapter, has laid down the foundation for implementing quality concepts at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) to enhance the capability of employees through self-development and mutual understanding.Prof. Ravindra Kumar Sinha inaugurated the convention, VC, SMVDU as a Chief Guest and Mr, Taranvir Singh Gujral , Managing Director, Super Filter Industries and Mr. Nagendera Singh Jamwal, Registrar, SMVDU as a Guest of Honour. During the inaugural function, it was insisted upon to focus on total employee involvement for achieving excellence.

The QCFI, DC representative Shri Anirudha Kaushik, Joint Secretary Admin & Senior Faculty & Mentor. Dr. Shashi Bhushan Purohit Director & Hon Secy. Mr. Ashwani Singh, Head Marketing, Ms Ankita Sharma, Operation Manager, Mr/ Puran Singh, Executive were also present. They congratulated QCFI, DC for spreading the need for quality concepts in India all sectors. Dr. Shashi Bhushan Purohit, Director and Hon. NSS SMVD University in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Eco-Watch (JKEW) under the flagship project, "Go Green Katra" organised a plantation drive on 25th of August 2022 in which 100 saplings were planted during the drive. The event started with an awareness rally by the NSS volunteers in the campus area. Vice Chancellor, SMVDU, Prof. Ravinder Kumar Sinha was the chief guest of the event. Mainly medicinal and hybrid fruit bearing saplings planted at multiple locations in the campus residential area. NSS volunteers actively participated in the event. Registrar, SMVDU, Nagendra Singh Jamwal, Deans, Heads, Administrative Officer Vinod Sharma, faculty members and Security Officer were also present during the event. Dr. Rajiv Kumar NSS Programme Coordinator and Mr. Dheeraj Thapa Project Director, Go Green Katra, thanked all the participants and University authorities for supporting the plantation drive.

SMVD University celebrated World Entrepreneurs’ Day under the aegis of Institutions’ Innovation Council (IIC), SMVDU. During the event a panel discussion on the topic, “Entrepreneurship through Leveraging Government Schemes” was conducted. The event was organized by IIC, SMVDU in collaboration with SMVDU-TBIC and Entrepreneurship Development Cell, SMVDU. The event witnessed an active participation by the students, faculty members and research students of different streams including Management, Economics, Computer Science & Engineering, Biotechnology, Electronics & Communication Engineering etc. The panel discussion was initiated by the panelists including Dr. Supran K. Sharma, Dean, Faculty of Management, SMVDU, Dr. Ashutosh Vashishtha, CEO, TBIC, Dr. Sharada M. Potukuchi, Dean Academic Affairs, Dr. Quaisher Alam , MD, Kaiza Health Private Limited, Bangalore, Incubate - SMVDU TBIC, Mr. Adnan Ali Murtza, student MBA, Ms. Pranita Puri, student of Integrated M.A. (Economics). Students also deliberated on the topic in formal and informal manner in the panel discussion.
