SMVDU Katra: Ms. Akshita Gupta and Ms. Shriya Sundhan, M.Tech Research Scholars, perusing their M.Tech. Dissertation under supervision of Dr. Sachin Kumar Gupta, Assistant Professor, School of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, attended two days International Conference on Optical & Wireless Technologies OWT 2018, held in the Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur, from 10th-11th February, 2018. The theme of the conference was “To bring current researches being carried out in the areas of Optical Communication, Photonics, Optics, Wireless Communication, and Mobile Communications for scientists, scholars, engineers and students from the universities, technologists, entrepreneurs and policymakers all around the World on a Common platform.”
During the conference Ms. Akshita Gupta and Ms. Shriya Sundhan presented a research papers entitled “Review for Capacity and Coverage Improvement in Aerially Controlled Heterogeneous Network” and “Survey on Significance of UAV Assisted Random Heterogeneous Network”, respectively. The presented papers will be published in Springer book Series, Book Title of “Optical and Wireless Technologies”, Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering (LNEE).
SMVDU Katra: Dr. Upena D. Dalal, Associate Professor and Associate Dean (Faculty Welfare), National Institute of Technology Surat visited the Dept. of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SMVDU and interacted with the Ph.D., M. Tech. as well as research students and also visited the lab of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and delivered a talk on the recent technology of wireless communication and networking. She mentioned that 5G and IOT are the emerging area of research in Electronics and also stressed that the researchers’ basic and mathematical modeling should be strong enough for research, and further, the researchers must focus upon product development instead of just simulation. She also attended an interaction session with the faculty of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and discuss about the research activity going in the university. She was thoroughly appreciative of the students’ gentry, the researchers and efforts being made by the department.
Dr. Vijay Kumar Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, SMVDU, participated in 6th International Conference on Advances in Engineering Sciences and Applied Mathematics (ICAESAM’2016) held at Grand Seasons Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in collaboration with International Institute of Engineers (IIE). The theme of the conference was “To discuss Engineering and Technology related latest developments through interactions amongst the researchers and academician across the globe on a common platform”.Dr. Vijay Kumar Sharma presented a paper on “A low leakage input dependent ONOFIC approach for CMOS logic circuits” in the conference. The paper was focused on a possible method to design the low leakage power digital circuits.
Akhil Gupta, S/o Sh. Yugal Kishore and Smt. Neena Gupta, R/o C-26, Vasant Vihar, Talab Tillo Jammu, who has been declared qualified for the award of the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra. Mr.Akhil worked on the topic “Power Optimization and Security Analysis with Proposed Solution of 5G Wireless Communication Networks,” under the supervision of Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jha, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra.
Dr. Amit K. Pandit, Associate Professor and HoD, DoECE attended second International Conference on Recent Trends in Computer Science and Electronics Engineering (RTCSE'17) at Swiss Garden Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Conference was organised to attract innovative technical and scientific work in the field of computer science and electronics across the globe.
He presented a paper titled "Novel Block Matching Reduced Complexity Motion Estimation and Compensation Algorithm for Mobile Domain: DBTSSDS".
Dr. Amit is also awarded “Award of Research Excellence” for the work. The award was presented to him by Prof D. M. Akbar Hussain, Aalborg University Denmark and Conference Chair. The paper is also recommended for publication in Thompson Reuters Index journal by the reviewers.
Dr. Amit also chaired a session at the conference. The conference was attended by participants across the globe.
The work presented is an outcome of UGC sponsored major project and is an extension of previous published work cited by many researchers.
Dr. Amit K Pandit expressed thanks the UGC.GOI and university for providing the financial grants from Professional Development Grant scheme of SMVDU.
Mr. Anil Kumar Bhardwaj , Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, SMVDU, participated in 2nd International Conference on Recent Trends in Recent Trends in Computer Science and Electronics held at Swiss Garden Hotel, Kuala Lumpur held in collaboration with Gyancity Research Labs. The theme of the conference was “To discuss Engineering and Technology related latest developments through interactions amongst the researchers and academician across the globe on a common platform”. Mr. Anil Kumar Bhardwaj presented the following paper in the conference “Analysis of Multiple Hidden Layer Vs Accuracy in Performance Using Back Propagation Neural Network ” . The conference was attended by participants across the globe. Mr.Anil Kumar Bhardwaj is very much thankful to Vice Chancellor Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University to provide Professional Development Assistance to him for attending this conference. The interaction with global experts is of great worth for him in near future.
Dr. Vijay Kumar Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, SMVDU, participated in 4th IEEE International Conference on Signal Processing, Communications and Networking (ICSCN 2017) held at Madras Institute of Technology Campus, Anna University Chennai, from 16th -18th March, 2017.
Dr. Vijay Kumar Sharma presented a paper on “Low Leakage Circuit Design using Bootstrap Technique” in the conference. The paper proposed a method to design the low leakage power digital circuits in sub-threshold regime of the MOS devices and received the “best paper award”. The conference was attended by people from IISc, IITs, NITs, industries and other reputed institutes.
This conference aims to bring together innovative academics, researchers and industrial experts in the field of Communication, Signal Processing, VLSI Design, Computing and Networking to a common forum, for a constructive dialog on theoretical concepts and practical ideas. The objective of this conference is to provide a forum for the researchers to present their state-of-the-art work.
